Training is available for different skill levels and types of users. Work Sampling Online
Training is delivered on-site in a computer lab or via conference call.
Technology Training
On-site trainings are conducted in a computer lab by an expert trainer
and are designed to provide participants with hands-on experience using the technology.
While each training workshop can be customized to your needs, these standard
options are available:
- Beginner - Reviews basic computer skills, site navigation, and an overview of
site features. Instructs and demonstrates data entry, report generation, and the use of
online planning resources. (1 day)
- Advanced - Focuses on the connection between assessment and curriculum,
and utilizing information for program improvement. Provides in-depth training on
the individualized and group planning tools. (1 day)
Phone trainings offer a low-cost option to be utilized throughout the year for
specialized topics, or ongoing training for new hires.
Phone training participants dial into a conference call while
navigating the system on their own or while watching a lead computer.
Training content and format is customizable and can be adapted to
meet the skill levels and needs of the participants. If you are interested

Assessment Training
Work Sampling Online is based on the content and processes of the Work Sampling System.
To ensure a successful implementation of the online system, it is critical that teachers are
trained in the Work Sampling System (or the Work Sampling System for Head Start) and have the correct
materials for implementation. Assessment Training will ensure teacher's appropriate use of the system, as well as help
them to recognize the benefits of using the online technology to streamline their offline processes.
